In the late 1800’s, a Japanese professor, Dr. Mikao Usui, began a quest to find the secrets of healing. His long journey led him to discover ancient healing principles and symbols. After mastering them, he named his system the Usui System of Natural Healing and became Reiki’s first Grandmaster. He passed these teachings to Grandmaster Dr. Hayashi, who passed them to Reiki Grandmaster Hawayo Takata. Sensei Takata was brought to America first by Salini’s mother, Eulalia Mae. From there Grandmaster Takata began teaching Reiki throughout the Western world, staying often with Salini’s family and mentoring and healing Salini throughout her childhood and early adult life. Upon her retirement, Reiki Grandmaster Takata asked Salini to be her successor to the Reiki Grandmastership. Today, Salini carries on the great and sacred tradition of pure authentic Reiki teachings as she was taught by Grandmaster Takata.

Salini teaches the authentic Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Method passed down directly from the original Grand Master Dr. Usui to the next Grand Master Dr. Hayashi and to Hawayo Takata the third Grand Master of Reiki and finally todays Grand Master Salini Teri Apodaca. Salini honors the original authentic teachings from the Grand Masters and holds the lineage of the original energy created by these masters.
